Colorado Springs Health Partners contracts with Clinical Research Advantage to conduct studies that examine new treatments for
patients and help us stay on the cutting edge of new medical possibilities.
Benefit to participants
Each study has specific requirements for participants. When you meet these requirements, you have the opportunity to play a more active role in your
health care, in addition to helping others who will benefit from the results. You also gain access to new treatments before they are available to the
public. When you are selected, you will be asked to complete an informed consent which outlines in detail the requirements and risks involved in the
study.
Considering Participation
If you are interested in a trial you hear about, there are several things to consider, including:
- How long will the trial last?
- How will the trial impact your lifestyle?
- What is the purpose of the trial?
- Who will be the primary contact?
- What are the risks and benefits of participating?
- Is follow up care provided in the study?
- Can treatment continue after teh trial is over?
- Are there any costs involved?
- What other treatments are available, besides those being tested?
- Will results of teh study be available to participants?
Other Considerations
Participants do continue to see their primary care doctor during the study, participants can leave a study at any time. If you are interested in
participating, please contact us for more details.
