Dr. Patel founded PEAK GASTROENTEROLOGY in 1995 after completing his fellowship at the University of Southern California at Los Angeles. Over and above comprehensive gastrointestinal consultative services, he also has an expertise in Colon Cancer screening, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, various Therapeutic Endoscopies, and Hepatitis C. He is a part of the Speaker Bureau for several pharmaceutical companies including WYETH, TAP, SALIX, ASTRAZENECA and PFIZER.Dr. Patel serves on the board of directors for El Paso county Medical Society and is the Chairman of the Professional Review Committee. In addition to being the Medical Director for the CSHP GI lab, he is also a member of the Quality Review Board at Memorial Hospital.Dr. Patel enjoys golfing, biking, jogging and is a die-hard fan of the Denver Broncos. He also enjoys organizing, and participating in many charitable events.
