More About Dr. Silveira
Though Dr. Silveira loves all aspects
of her work, her special interest areas include pediatrics,
gynecology and HIV care. During the term 1994-1995 she was voted
Educator of the Year for CSOF-Family Medicine Residency Dr.
Silveira is fluent in four languages: English, French, Portuguese
and Spanish. She attended medical school at Stanford University
School of Medicine and Autonomous University of Guadalajara. Dr.
Silveira volunteers with Amnesty International. She enjoys
bicycling, weight training, hiking, and snow skiing. When water
avails itself, she enjoys windsurfing, kayaking and sailing. Her
other interests include reading contemporary fiction Spanish,
Portuguese, and French novels. Dr. Silveira's hometown is
Watsonville, California. Her parents immigrated from the Azores
Islands, Portugal. Her husband is a Math Professor at UCCS.
