| Dr. Nevarez is fluent in two languages, English and Spanish. He has been a team Physician at Harrison High
School, where he received an appreciation award, and also participated in pre-collegiate program for high school students
at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Dr. Nevarez co-authored a report in "Extraction of C13 labeled algae"
used in diabetic research at the University of New Mexico and was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors fro Franciscan
Wellness Programs for mental health. Born in Deming, New Mexico, Dr. Nevarez is married and has four children, four
step-children ages ranging from 7 to 37. He enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and hiking. He is also a certified
