Colorado Springs Health Partners, a DaVita Medical Group has been meeting the health care needs of residents in the Pikes Peak Region since 1946. The founding physicians, six World War II veterans, included a general surgeon, two internal medicine specialists, an OB/GYN specialist, a pediatrician and an ophthalmologist. Over the next 50 years, the company grew to become CSHP and most recently, merged with DaVita Inc., operating as the largest physician-led, multi-specialty medical group in Colorado Springs. Known for our quality of care through our philosophy of coordinated care, we have 11 clinics, 3 of which have urgent cares, an inpatient team providing services to 4 hospitals, and an active and expanding Skilled Nursing and Long Term Acute Care department. Since 1946 we’ve been committed to advancing the medical field and giving back to the community. This is a vision and mission we share with DaVita Inc.

We believe that our teammates’ personal development is just as important as their professional development and training. Subjects such as communication, goal setting, and conflict management are taught in a way that teammates can easily translate their learnings into their daily work as well as to their time away from their clinic or the office.
We believe that providing proper training to our teammates is essential to ensuring the exceptional clinical outcomes that we achieve. We are so committed to helping teammates learn and develop that we created a special education department within DaVita called DaVita University which oversees all of the training and learning opportunities within the Village.
While most of our teammates are providing direct, hands-on care to our patients, other teammates are indirectly caring for patients by providing support to our field teammates and making their daily responsibilities as easy as possible. Because we have such a wide variety of roles within the Village we have created a vast number of training programs to meet each teammate’s training needs.
In the spirit of one of our favorite sayings at DaVita: “No Brag, Just Fact,” our training programs have been recognized by organizations such as Training Magazine for many years because of the exceptional impact of the programs. We continue to add new training opportunities and development options for our teammates to support their ever changing work environments and personal responsibilities.
AMAZING MA PROGRAM
We believe that anyone, in any role, can be a leader. Management is a business skill, but leadership is a human skill. Becoming a leader is a journey that requires both the appetite and the proper tools and guidance to learn about oneself. THE REDWOODS PROGRAM
The Redwoods Program is named after the strong Redwood trees that grow in Northern California. Transplanting debilitates them. Raising them from seed to sapling endows longevity. The process by which these trees are cultivated from seeds to their current strong and tall stature is analogous to how DaVita wants to help grow its future leaders from universities across the nation. The Redwoods Leadership Development Program provides unparalleled development experience, mentorship by senior management, and training that will empower your development into a great leader.
