| Dr. Shaffer's professional experience includes pediatric urgent care, hospital ER and medical technology in addition to her work with Indian Health Services. She was a member of the US Air Force Reserves where she initiated a computer-based program for pap smear and mammogram tracking. Dr. Shaffer also completed an observership in La Junta, Colorado with a Family Physician during her training, participated in a medical exchange program in Chiapas, Mexico and completed a two-month rotation at MOI University Teaching Hospital in Eldoret, Kenya. She speaks German fluently and also speaks basic Spanish. When not practicing, Dr. Shafer enjoys hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, travel and reading. |
