Dr. Nevarez is fluent in English and Spanish. He has served as a team Physician at Harrison High School, where he received an appreciation award, and also participated in pre-collegiate program for high school students at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Dr. Nevarez has served as the Associate Medical Director of CSHP’s Urgent Clinic and is currently a member of the Ranch of Hope Counseling Services Advisory Board. Dr. Nevarez co-authored a report in "Extraction of C13 labeled algae" used in diabetic research at the University of New Mexico and was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Franciscan Wellness Programs for mental health. He was born in Deming, New Mexico and loves the great outdoors of Colorado. In his free time, Dr. Nevarez enjoys camping, gardening, hunting, fishing, and hiking, as well as spending time with his adult children and grandchildren.
