Our medical group has proudly served the Pikes Peak region for over 70 years!

I was born and raised in the Colorado Springs area and am excited to provide medical care to this community. After losing a close family member, I realized preventive care may have made a difference and chose family practice. I met and married my husband (Derrick Hurst) in medical school and convinced him to move to Colorado after residency. One of the best parts of family medicine is getting to know the entire family and keeping them all healthy. When I am not in the office, I like to spend time with my family which usually involves trying to keep up with two active daughters.

She is awesome - and I have recommended her. She keeps her focus on me when I am in there.
I do recommend others to her. I tried to get my husband to switch to her, but was told she's not accepting new clients.
She is working very hard to find out what my health problem is. She keeps following up to see how I'm feeling until all of my tests are done.

Best doctor I've ever had.
Dr. Roberts reminds me so much at times of my last doctor. She is caring, listens and talks to me regarding any problem I have or a question regarding something I may have to have in the future.
Dr. Roberts showed no concern or worries regarding the issues brought to her attention, namely, the lack of her availability after I spend an entire day in the ER. Her staff, likewise, treated me horribly when I called to schedule a followup visit within 1-2 days from my discharge from the ER. I was offered an appointment within 2 weeks, then 1 week, and only after stating this was unacceptable and speaking to the office manager was I offered an appointment within 48 hours. I do not understand the care Dr. Roberts thinks she is providing when she cannot see her patients after an urgent hospital visit wherein emergent followup care is recommended by the ER physician. I believe she is doing a great disservice to her patients, and her office staff are horrible. In addition, Dr. Roberts diagnoses patients only based on patient's reports. For example, I had said in the past I was having trouble with acne, and it was automatically listed as a diagnoses under my problem list. Just based on my work, she prescribed some kind of cream. Similarly, I reported I had heavy bleeding and painful cramps, and without any investigation, I was diagnosed with menorrhagia. Finally, when I described increased pain due to losing 3 close friends/family members in a period of 3 weeks, she did not offer any kind of therapy referral but just prescribed medication, which was always her answer. She kept me on narcotic pain medication for over 5 years, rather than prescribing physical therapy with an experienced and licensed physical therapist.
