Dr. Jayme Tishon joined Optum Digestive Disease Clinic in June 2020. She earned her medical degree from the George Washington University where she graduated with honors and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, a medical honor society. She also completed both her internship and residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at GW as well. Dr. Tishon has 8 years of experience in the gastroenterology field and is passionate about helping patients live healthier lives Dr. Tishon’s clinical interest include acid peptic disorders, colon cancer prevention, inflammatory bowel disease, anorectal disorders such as hemorrhoids and incontinence, as well as women's issues in gastroenterology. Dr. Tishon is proficient in the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures of upper endoscopy (EGD), enteroscopy, colonoscopy, small bowel video capsule endoscopy, hemorrhoidal banding, as well as anorectal manometry. When not working, Dr. Tishon enjoys adventures in the outdoors with her 2 young children and husband including hiking, biking, and travelling. She is also a die hard Steeler fan, an avid knitter and a new sewist.
