*Not all visits are appropriate for a Telehealth video visit.  Our team will help determine if a Telehealth video visit is the right fit for your medical needs.

WHAT IS TELEHEALTH?

 

TeleHealth offers patients an opportunity to connect with their care team virtually through a phone or video visit.  Your care team can assess and treat medical needs, such as:

  • Annual wellness exam
  • COVID-19 (Concerns regarding mild to moderate symptoms or possible exposure)
  • Clearance to return to work after illness
  • Follow up of stable chronic conditions
  • Routine medication refills
  • Runny nose, mild to moderate sore throat, mild to moderate cough, possible pink eye
  • Possible urinary tract infection
  • Mild to moderate mood changes
  • Localized body rashes
  • And more….

 

 


HOW TO SIGN UP

In order to deliver secure virtual care, you must have a FollowMyHealth patient portal account and must have current access to it.  If you already have a Follow My Health account, you are all set!

 

1. Create a Follow My Health Patient Portal Account by following these steps:

    • Visit optum.followmyhealth.com and select “I need to sign up” icon
    • Complete the “Sign Up and Connect” fields and watch for an email from norelply@followmyhealth.com
    • Open the email you receive and follow the FollowMyHealth Registration Instructions.  Please selected the device you will be using for your visit.

2. Install the FollowMyHealth App to your mobile device by following the instructions available below. Please selected the device you will be using for your visit.

HOW TO PREPARE

 

To ensure you are prepared for your video visit please do the following:

  • Contact our Telehealth Support Center 24 hours prior to your visit at 1-844-852-9225.
    • Our Telehealth Support Center will be able to ensure you have a successful virtual visit.
    • Telehealth Support Center Hours
      • Mon. - Fri., 6 am - 8 pm (MST)
      • Sat., 7 am - 6 pm (MST)
      • Sun., Closed 
    • If you encounter any issues with setting up your Telehealth visit or have questions please contact the Telehealth Support Center at 1-844-852-9225. 
  • Ensure you have a FollowMyHealth patient portal account.
  • Confirm that you can access your FollowMyHealth account.    
  • Please sign in/arrive 20 minutes early for you scheduled video visit. 
  • Check your audio capabilities to ensure you can communicate with your provider.

  • Check your visual capabilities.  You will need to use a device with a camera for your visit.  Prior to your visit make sure your device's video application is working. 

  


TELEHEALTH FAQ

Can I get my prescriptions refilled?

Yes, you can get a prescription refill via a TeleHealth visit.

 

Will my insurance cover this?

Coverage is dependent on your insurance policies. Please note that there may be a co-pay associated with this visit.

 

What if I don’t have access to Internet?

If you don’t have Internet, your phone is a great option for completing your video visit.  Please note, standard data rates apply when using your cell phone data plan for a TeleHealth visit.

 

What if I don’t have a device with a camera?

A TeleHealth visit over the phone is a great option.

 

What if I need an in-person appointment?

We are still conducting essential in-person appointments. If you or a family member is in need of an in-person appointment, this is still available.

 

What if I need lab work?

If deemed necessary your provider can order your labs through a TeleHealth visit and will then give you instructions on how to have these drawn with limited exposure to others.
